Aims

Obtain recognition from the Italian Ministry of Agricultural Policies as the consortium for protection of Asparago Bianco di Bassano del Grappa DOP;

Protect and monitor production and sale of Asparago Bianco di Bassano del Grappa DOP and use of the designation;

Promote any useful action for safeguarding designated origin product typicity and peculiarities from exploitation, unfair competition, imitation or improper use of the designation;

Promote awareness of designated origin in all markets; promote the product; inform consumers using all means and actions;

Safeguard the general interests of Asparago Bianco di Bassano del Grappa DOP;

Suggest modifications to Asparago Bianco di Bassano del Grappa DOP production specifications;

Define programmes, including for research, aimed to enhance the quality and structure of plans, proposals and studies for the technical and workplace safety aspects of businesses using the designation;

Promote agreements in the agri-food system;

Cooperate with the Italian Ministry of Agricultural Policies and the Regional Authority to employ superintendents for monitoring, protecting and safeguarding the PDO;

Cooperate with the European Union, Italian state, regional authorities, autonomous provincial councils, public and private authorities, and the PDO control board, making available its organizational structure;

Activate promotional schemes to increase awareness and consumption of the designated origin product;

Participate in associations, enterprises and authorities with similar scope;

Ownership of the PDO’s collective identification brand and concession of use where entitled;

Provide for inclusion of the PDO logo on the product made by subjects, members and non-members with the mandatory requisites and recognized by the control board.
